Jonathon C. Elgin, Attorney/Owner
Attorney JC Elgin grew up in North Central Ohio. He attended The Ohio State University for undergraduate education where he majored in English. After six years in education and technology management in local school districts, he returned to law school and in December 2016 graduated from Ohio Northern University's Pettit College of Law.
Attorney Elgin's practice interests include family law, estate planning, taxation, small business organization and operation, and general civil practice. He is also interested in technology infused law practice, e-discovery, and electronic evidence of titles through emerging technologies.

Marshall D. Elgin, Paralegal
Marshall joined our staff in early 2018. His role includes assisting in all aspects of the law practice, including preparing forms, affidavits, and pleadings, conducting legal research, preparing monthly client invoices, coordinating client meetings and court dates, and assisting in office management.
Marshall is a life-long Shelby resident and a 2010 graduate of Shelby Senior High School. In addition to working for the Law Offices of Jonathon C. Elgin, he is the proprietor of "Melancholy House," a rural, independent music venue outside of Shelby. Marshall is an accomplished musician, playing in a variety of local music groups.
